New Hampshire

New Hampshire is the home base of Connect.  Since 2002, we have trained over 5,500 people in New Hampshire and have certified over 500 Connect trainers.  We initiated, trained and provide on-going support to numerous Suicide Prevention Coalitions across the state.  Audiences for Connect suicide prevention and postvention training workshops include the state Police Training Academy; over 40 schools including faculty, staff and students; the state Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team; faith communities; health care and mental health providers; first responders; and social service providers.

Connect co-hosts the annual New Hampshire Suicide Prevention Conference, provides leadership and committee work on the state Suicide Prevention Coalition, co-chairs the Youth Suicide Prevention Assembly, and oversees the Survivor of Suicide Loss Network, including supporting the annual teleconference in nine sites.

We conducts SurvivorVoices training for survivors of suicide loss semi-annually in New Hampshire.  Connect provides outreach and resources to New Hampshire schools, communities, organizations, and individuals who have been affected by suicide.
